The much-loved independent café brand, House of Koko, is expanding into Leeds city centre this autumn with the opening of its third venue.
Founded in 2015, House of Koko has become a cornerstone of Leeds’ café culture. Known for its Middle Eastern–inspired menus, quality coffee and thoughtful design, the new Central Road site marks its biggest investment yet.
House of Koko’s founder, Rosita Rogers, said: “House of Koko has always been about more than great coffee; it’s about connection, culture, and creating spaces with heart. With the city centre opening, we wanted to bring that same sense of community to a bigger stage and create a place that feels elevated but still warm, soulful and unmistakably Koko.

“We’ve grown from being a small neighbourhood café to something that really represents the independent spirit of Leeds, and this move into the city centre marks a reflection of how far we’ve come. House of Koko – City is about celebrating that journey and bringing our roots with us while looking to the future.”
Since opening its first café in Chapel Allerton almost a decade ago, followed by a second in Oakwood, House of Koko has gained a loyal following for its relaxed atmosphere and vibrant food. The menu reflects Rogers’ Lebanese heritage, featuring dishes such as Muhammara Eggs, Lebanese Hash and Hot Honey Habibti.

The new city centre café will continue that approach while introducing a fresh, urban design. Handcrafted furniture, warm tones and natural textures will fill the space, inspired by Mediterranean landscapes and the creative energy of Leeds.
The café will seat 28 guests inside, with plans for outdoor seating to nearly double capacity in the summer months. House of Koko – City will open its doors this Friday (7th November).
