Leeds Restaurant Launches Indian-Inspired Afternoon Tea for Afternoon Tea Week

Cinnamon Kitchen Leeds has launched High Chai, an Indian twist on the traditional British afternoon tea, to mark Afternoon Tea Week from 12 to 18 August.

The restaurant, located on City Square, opened earlier this year as the flagship northern site of the Cinnamon Collection, led by celebrity chef Vivek Singh. Known for pairing modern Indian flavours with locally sourced ingredients, it is now adding a new option to its menu.

Served on a traditional tiered stand, High Chai swaps scones and finger sandwiches for dishes such as samosa chaat, dahi puri and masala fish finger sandwiches. Desserts include shrikhand cheesecake with tamarind glazed strawberries and raspberry and pink peppercorn almond cake.

The menu is served with a selection of premium teas, including the restaurant’s signature Masala Chai infused with ginger and cardamom. Guests can also add a cinnamon Bellini for an extra £7.50.

High Chai is available every day from 12pm to 5pm and is priced at £28 per person.
