McVitie’s is adding a new flavour to its Jamaica Ginger Cake range for the first time since 2009. The new Pineapple & Coconut cake brings a tropical twist to the well-known loaf that has been enjoyed for more than 50 years.
The flavour combines pineapple with coconut, designed to give a summer feel while keeping the sticky ginger base that fans already know. It can be eaten hot or cold, as a dessert or simply on its own.
Catherine Morgenroth, Marketing Manager for McVitie’s, said: “We couldn’t be more excited to launch the first new flavour for this much-loved cake since 2009. It’s a bold, tropical twist on a beloved classic, blending zingy pineapple and smooth coconut for a taste that’s pure sunshine.”
McVitie’s Jamaica Ginger Cake Pineapple & Coconut will be available from 25th August in Morrisons, Spar, Nisa, B&M, Home Bargains, Farmfoods and Heron, with a recommended retail price of £1.75.
