Italy might have missed out on the World Cup for the third time in a row (ouch), but Zizzi is making sure Italian football fans have a massive reason to celebrate anyway. They are turning their restaurants into an unofficial embassy for Italy this month, and it means free food.
From June 8th to 18th, if you’re an Italian national living in Yorkshire, you can walk into any of the eight local Zizzi spots and bag a completely free main course. All you have to do is show a valid Italian passport and buy a full-price drink. It’s a pretty brilliant consolation prize for not making it to the pitch.

Don’t worry if you aren’t Italian, though. Zizzi is sorting out the rest of us with 30% off all food – starters, massive sharers, mains, and desserts – running all the way until the end of the group stages on Friday, June 26th.
Corrine Prior from Zizzi summed it up perfectly:
“Italy has already given the world the things people crave during tournament season – pasta, pizza, and gathering around a table with friends and family. While the Azzurri may not be competing this summer, we wanted to give Italians across the UK a reason to celebrate.”
