Opposite in Chapel Allerton Hosts Summer Pop-Up with Local Cocktail Brand

From the 1st of June, Chapel Allerton’s vibrant café Opposite is transforming into a cocktail haven on Friday and Saturday nights, offering hand-crafted cocktails in collaboration with Leeds-based Blank Canvas Drinks. Each weekend, from 6pm until midnight, patrons can enjoy a curated menu of fourteen exquisite cocktails, including the beloved Espresso Martini, featuring Opposite’s expertly brewed espresso.

This summer pop-up, running until 27th July, promises a rotating menu of both classic and innovative cocktails. June will feature a selection of favourites such as Margaritas and Mai Tais, while July will introduce new creations like the Camino Tropico and Ruby Swizzle. For those seeking non-alcoholic options, a revamped Shirley Temple with cranberry and non-alcoholic beer will be available.

In addition to the in-house experience, Opposite will sell Blank Canvas Drinks’ bottled cocktails from an in-store shop during the day, allowing customers to take their favourite drinks to enjoy elsewhere. Accompanying the cocktails will be delicious bar snacks from local artisans such as Skog Bakehouse and George and Joseph.

A highlight of the menu will be offerings from Charlie’s Classic Cocktails, a luxury brand known for its traditional drinks made with premium spirits. Guests can savour classics like the Old Fashioned and Negroni, each elegantly finished with an orange garnish spritz.

Charlie Bolton, Founder and Director of Blank Canvas Drinks, shared his excitement: “As a proud regular stall holder at the Chapel Allerton Market and part of the local community, we’re excited to be working with Lou and the team at Opposite to bring our specialty drinks to an in-person crowd for the very first time. Our collaboration really showcases the exciting things happening in North Leeds and we can’t wait to meet everyone that comes down.”

No bookings are required for this pop-up event, which will operate with table service to ensure a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
