Popeyes® UK has confirmed it will bring its iconic Louisiana fried chicken to Hull with the opening of its first East Riding of Yorkshire restaurant at Kingswood Retail Park on Friday, 13th March 2026. Marking the brand’s eighth opening of the year, the new site will officially open its doors at 11 am, bringing 91 new jobs to the local area and 74 indoor seats for diners. Fans are being encouraged to arrive early, as the brand is known for record-breaking queues, with previous launches seeing customers wait over 11 hours to experience the signature New Orleans hospitality.
To celebrate the milestone, the opening day will feature massive giveaways. The first four customers in the pedestrian queue and the first four cars in the “Park & Serve” bays will win the ultimate prize of free Deluxe Chicken Sandwiches for an entire year. Additionally, the first 50 people in line will receive exclusive Popeyes® UK merchandise, while the first 100 will bag a free Deluxe Chicken Sandwich. Beyond the classics, visitors can try the new “Kickback Collection,” featuring a smoky and tangy dip that has already sold over 19 million millilitres nationwide. The line-up includes the Kickback Sandwich, topped with smoked cheese and pickles, and a variety of Box Meals.
For early risers, the restaurant will serve a breakfast menu from 8am to 10am daily, including an app-exclusive £1.99 meal deal featuring a Chicken Brekkie Roll, Cajun Hash Brown, and a drink. The new restaurant at Althorp Road is designed for convenience, offering self-service kiosks and “Park & Serve” spots for digital orders.
