Poundland has today unveiled a revamped £3.00 meal deal, featuring an array of new sandwiches, salads, and snacks. This move aims to entice office workers seeking value without compromising on quality.
Although Poundland might not be the first choice for a lunch break, the introduction of these high-quality options, sourced from reputable suppliers like those also providing to M&S, promises to elevate its appeal. The £3 meal deal stands out as it does not require a loyalty card, ensuring straightforward value.
Kyle Storey, head of chilled and frozen at Poundland, emphasised the company’s mission: “Our mission here at Poundland has always been to provide our customers with the best possible value, without compromising on taste or quality. With our new meal deal, we’re not only offering an unbeatable price, but also ensuring that everyone can access a delicious and satisfying meal without the need for a plastic loyalty card.”
Launching under the brand name “Grab A Bite,” the meal deal includes a tempting selection of sandwiches, snacks, and drinks. Highlights from the menu include a Chicken Tikka wrap, Cheese & Pickle sandwich, a Sushi pack, and a Prawn Pasta Salad. Sides feature options such as Ginsters Slice, Pringles, Snickers Bar, and Doritos Chilli Heatwave crisps. Beverage choices include Lucozade Alert, Red Bull, Coca Cola, and San Pellegrino lemon, among numerous others.
Developed in collaboration with Greencore and North East-based sandwich supplier On A Roll, the new range underscores Poundland’s commitment to quality and value.
To celebrate the launch, Poundland will install Blue Plaques at 20 of its top-performing lunchtime stores. The first plaques will appear at locations in Deal, Kent, close to Sandwich, as well as in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Birmingham, Leeds, Liverpool, Walsall, and Wembley.
In comparison, meal deals at other retailers, such as M&S and Waitrose, can cost up to £6.00 and £5.00, respectively, and even Tesco’s £3.40 meal deal is only available to Clubcard holders.
With this new offering, Poundland aims to provide the cheapest meal deal in Britain, delivering both quality and value to its customers.
