If you’re planning a night out in Leeds over the next few weeks, you might notice something a bit different sitting on the bar at The Alchemist. To celebrate Margarita Day and the peak of the film awards season, they’ve ditched the traditional glassware for something way more nostalgic: popcorn boxes.
From now until 22nd March, the bars at both Trinity and Greek Street are serving up two limited-edition Margaritas that feel like a total “movie night” treat.
The “Silver Screen” Menu

- The Cherry Blast: This one is a total crowd-pleaser for the sweet-toothed. It’s a bold mix of Patrón Silver, dark berries, and blood orange sherbet. The best bit? It comes topped with a handful of popcorn and actual pick & mix sweets. It’s bright, fun, and looks fantastic.
- The Silver Screen Margarita: If you’re a fan of the classic “salty” cinema snack, this is the one for you. It blends Patrón Silver and Cointreau with a salted popcorn syrup and lime. It’s finished with Maldon-salted popcorn, giving you that perfect savoury-sweet balance that works so well with tequila.
It’s a lovely, playful way to celebrate the awards season, and let’s be honest, drinking a Margarita out of a popcorn box is a great conversation starter.
