The Woodman in Bramley has reopened following a £375,000 transformation, introducing a brand-new ‘Two Door Pub’ concept. The revamped venue now offers two distinct spaces: a lively locals’ bar and a dedicated family lounge, creating an inclusive environment for all visitors.
Located near Silverwood Colliery Woodland, The Woodman remains at the heart of the community, providing a welcoming spot for drinks, dining, and socialising. The refreshed bar area features 4K big-screen TVs with TNT and Sky Sports, making it a go-to destination for live sport fans.

The new layout allows guests to choose their ideal experience without compromise. The locals’ bar delivers a vibrant social setting, while the family lounge offers a warm, relaxed space tailored for parents and children. A central partition ensures each area retains its unique atmosphere.
The reopening also highlights The Woodman’s commitment to the local community. Representatives from Start a Heart, a Rotherham-based organisation that raises funds for community defibrillators, were named the pub’s community heroes. The group raised over £11,000 last year, contributing to the installation of The Woodman’s first defibrillator.

The pub remains dog-friendly and boasts a large beer garden, giving guests the option to dine and drink outdoors. Classic pub favourites, including hand-battered fish and chips and southern fried chicken burgers, are still on the menu, alongside options for kids and adults alike.
With over 1,600 pubs across the UK, Marston’s continues to create welcoming venues that bring people together. The Woodman’s transformation ensures it remains a beloved local hub, catering to sports fans, families, and the wider community.
