Uyare Rooftop Bar Launches New Menu Ahead of 1st Anniversary

A celebrated Leeds rooftop bar is launching a new cocktail and food menu to mark its first year in the city. Uyare, located high above the skyline in Victoria Leeds, has introduced the update to coincide with the start of Spring and its upcoming first anniversary this June. The venue features heated outdoor seating and panoramic views across the city centre. While it sits above the South Indian restaurant of the same name, the rooftop operates as a standalone bar destination where guests can book tables specifically for drinks and small plates.

The bar team has developed 12 signature cocktails inspired by the culinary heritage of Kerala. Rather than using standard syrups, the staff use kitchen techniques like spice tempering and fruit infusions to build layers of flavour. Four specific drinks on the list are designed to act as a guided journey through the Kerala region.

Founder Siby Jose said: “Uyare is all about energy, and that’s exactly what we’re bringing to our rooftop bar this summer. While Leeds has a vibrant cocktail scene, many menus are built around classic recipes or rely heavily on syrups. Our new menu takes a different approach, focusing on real ingredients and culinary techniques to create bold, layered flavours. Our vision is to create a destination where you can book just for drinks or gather with friends and experience something special above the city. We are really excited about our new menu, which we think will satisfy and delight everyone’s tastes, whether you’re popping in for cocktails at golden hour or settling in for a full small-plates feast and soaking up the atmosphere!”

The kitchen has also refreshed its bar food menu with a focus on sharing. The new selection includes masala fried cauliflower, fried squid, marinated king prawns, tender curries, and succulent salads. Alongside the daily menu, the venue is introducing a weekend bottomless brunch. Starting from £40, the deal includes tapas dishes, sides, and bottomless drinks. To add to the atmosphere, the bar will now host monthly jazz nights for a more sophisticated, laid-back feel.

Uyare opened in June 2025 as a premium sister site to Tharavadu, a well-known Leeds restaurant that has operated for over eleven years. The rooftop bar aims to be a primary spot for everything from after-work drinks to date nights and birthday celebrations.
