Wensleydale Railway is bringing back its popular afternoon tea train services for 2026, with fresh menus, extra dates, and exciting new culinary twists. The 2026 season kicks off with a Valentine’s Day lunchtime train on Sunday 15th February, followed by themed trains for Mother’s Day, Easter, early summer, Father’s Day, Yorkshire Day, and autumn, including multiple Indian and Mediterranean-inspired experiences.
Tickets cost £52.50 per adult and £30 for children (14 and under). Prices include the rail journey and a complimentary glass of fizz or soft drink. Booking is essential to secure a spot.
Nick Keegan, Marketing and Fundraising Manager at Wensleydale Railway, said:
“Our catering team volunteers, led by Mo Park, have worked incredibly hard with our partner The Green Apple Tree Indian Restaurant of Northallerton to develop new and exciting menus for our customers to enjoy. We trialled an Indian afternoon tea and evening curry train last year, and they proved very popular. This year, we’re expanding the Indian-inspired food offer even further.”
He added:
“Our afternoon tea services are perfect for a special occasion, family celebrations, a gift for a loved one, or just a treat for yourself. Do something different this year and create unique memories on board our dining trains!”
