Dessert Places in Leeds You Need To Try…
Haute Dolci

Unit 20A The Light, The Headrow, Leeds LS1 8TL
Haute Dolci in The Light is as pretty as a picture with its blush pink decor and luxurious booths. The menu at Haute Dolci is extensive, to say the least, with all manner of pancakes, croffles, cookie doughs, cheesecakes and sundaes on offer alongside a range of old-school hot desserts and a huge selection of gelato flavours.
I highly recommend the S’mores Cookie Dough for a warming and indulgent treat, and the Candy Floss Sundae is perfect for little ones or those with an exceptionally sweet tooth. A tasty combination of bubblegum and vanilla gelatos, topped with squirty cream, bubblegum sauce, sprinkles and cream-filled waffle cone, it was a big hit with my little boy.
My Cookie Dough

24 Albion Place, Leeds LS1 6JS
My Cookie Dough has multiple locations scattered across the UK, and you’ll find one of them on Albion Place in Leeds. As the name suggests, My Cookie Dough serves and sells delicious cookie dough in a variety of flavours and with a mouthwatering array of tasty toppings.
Keep it simple with a single serving of warm milk chocolate cookie dough, drizzled with chocolate sauce and served with a side of ice cream. Fancy a more indulgent treat? Double up with My Cookie Dough’s double cookie stacks in flavour options such as Cookies & Cream, Kinder & Nutella and the ever-popular Biscoff. One of the best dessert places in Leeds for a quick and comforting sugar fix.
Ice Scoop Gelato

8 Easterly Road, Roundhay, Leeds LS8 3AA
Originally based in Roundhay, Ice Scoop has since expanded to Hyde Park and Crossgates too, so there’s likely one within reach wherever you are in Leeds. Ice Scoop Gelato is a dessert shop and takeaway in Roundhay with a loyal customer base of people who can’t get enough of the dreamy desserts it serves up daily. It’s an incredibly long menu here, featuring all the most popular desserts such as cookie dough, crepes, waffles, cheesecakes, gateaux, sundaes, freakshakes and more. It’s reasonably priced too, with a loaded sundae costing just £6.90.
With so many delicious options to choose from, this is one of the best dessert places in Leeds to visit with kids. A kids’ sundae here costs just £3.80, and your little one can choose from Strawberry & Vanilla, Bubblegum and Oreo Crunch Sensation.
The Savvy Baker

Unit K3, 27 Albion Street, Trinity Leeds LS1 5AT
The Savvy Baker is a proper Leeds success story. What began as lockdown brownie deliveries from founder Savannah’s kitchen quickly snowballed into one of the most loved bakeries in the city, and at the end of 2025, the brand made its most exciting move yet, opening a flagship store in Trinity Leeds. The new city centre home is a step up in every way, baking cookies onsite and serving speciality matchas from a dedicated matcha bar alongside all the sweet treats that built the brand’s legendary reputation.
If you love them as much as we do, you’ll soon be clicking on their website and getting your Savvy Baker sweet treats sent straight to your door! Their brownies and blondies are available for UK-wide postal delivery too, making them a genuinely brilliant gift option.
Crêpeaffaire

Trinity, Albion Street, Leeds LS1 5AT
Crepes are an absolute classic, and few places in Leeds do them as well as the Crepeaffaire in Trinity, which, you’re probably aware, has locations all around the world. The menu at the Leeds branch features crepes with numerous sweet and savoury fillings and toppings. The breakfast versions are perfect for munching on the go during a morning shopping trip, but the sweet ones are oh-so-delicious.
There’s a sweet crepe to suit most preferences at Crepeaffaire. Those who prefer a traditional crepe will no doubt adore one topped with sugar and lemon or perhaps, drizzled with warm Nutella. For me, it has to be the Cinnamon Banana & Butterscotch or ‘The Whole Shebang’ which features strawberries, banana, Nutella and a generous amount of whipped cream.
KULT Coffee & Gelato

6 New Market Street, Leeds LS1 6DG
KULT is an artisan gelato parlour, bakery and coffee shop on New Market Street. KULT has quickly become one of the most talked-about dessert spots in Leeds. Of course, this place offers exceptional gelato in an endless array of flavours, but brownies, doughnuts, burnt basque cheesecakes, and more are also on the menu.
The bubble waffles at KULT are particularly popular, and we’re not surprised. Choose your waffle base (original or UBE), then your base (whipped cream, Nutella or honey), and your preferred gelato or soft serve. You can then add two tasty toppings, such as Oreo pieces and Kinder Bueno, before finishing it off with a sauce. Yum!
Doh’hut

2 Trevelyan Square, Leeds LS1 6ED
Doh’hut is the sort of place that needs no hype because the doughnuts speak for themselves. This award-winning independent has been drawing queues on Trevelyan Square for years, and its almost 30,000 Instagram followers tell you everything you need to know about how seriously Leeds takes its doughnuts. Everything here is traditional, fresh and handmade – no supermarket-style ring doughnuts here. Crème pâtissière, chocolate ganache, custard and seasonal specials rotate alongside the classics, and the quality is genuinely exceptional. Vegetarian and alcohol-free, it’s also a welcoming option for those with dietary preferences. Small, characterful and entirely independent – exactly the kind of place that makes the Leeds food scene worth celebrating.
Batch’d

Trinity, Unit K27, Albion Street, Leeds LS1 5A
The Batch’d shop in Trinity Leeds is impossible to walk past without succumbing to temptation and purchasing at least one calorific treat. The counters here are always jam-packed with delicious baked goodies like cookies, brownies, blondies, doughnuts and cookie pies.
I’m a big (likely to get bigger if this obsession continues) fan of Batch’d products and regularly return home from Leeds with a box of cookies and brownies for my family. The Oreo Brownies are a firm favourite of my little boy, and the humongous stuffed cookies are my go-to. Batch’d also has a stand in Leeds Railway Station, so if you’re passing through, be sure to take a look.
Heavenly Desserts, Headingley

Arndale House, Otley Road, Headingley, Leeds LS6 2UG
If you’re in Headingley and craving something indulgent, Heavenly Desserts has been a fixture on Otley Road for years and shows no sign of slowing down. The menu is a dessert lover’s dream – creative waffles, chocolate fondue, ice cream sundaes, Italian gelato and a Luxe collection of more elevated creations that are designed to look as good as they taste. Open until 2 am every day of the week, it’s one of the few places in Leeds where a late-night sweet craving is absolutely no problem at all. Whether you’re after the Double Pleasure sundae with mango and strawberry sorbet or a classic waffle loaded with Nutella and fresh fruit, Heavenly Desserts delivers on both flavour and spectacle.
