Asda is set to open a new George store in Hull, bringing its fashion and homeware offer together under one roof. The store, based at Anlaby Retail Park, is part of the retailer’s move to roll out stand-alone George sites, replacing its existing Asda Living brand.
The Hull opening follows the success of a pilot store in Leeds earlier this year, which marked the first step in the rebrand. The company now plans to introduce more George stores across key northern locations.
The new site promises a modern layout designed to showcase an expanded clothing collection for men, women and children. Customers will also be among the first to explore the new George Christmas range, featuring partywear, nightwear, festive decorations and gifts from the Erica Davies collection.

A large home department will offer interiors, garden and lifestyle products alongside George’s well-known celebrity collaborations. The store will also stock toys, gifts, party essentials and baby items. Shoppers can use self-serve checkouts and Click & Collect for a faster experience.
George managing director Liz Evans said: “Our pilot George store in Leeds has been a tremendous success, thanks to the dedication and passion of our colleagues and the fantastic response from customers. It’s shown us just how much love there is for the George brand and our hero product categories.
“Building on that momentum, we’re excited to bring the stand-alone George store concept to Hull giving even more customers the opportunity to enjoy an inspiring, easy-to-shop experience that celebrates everything they know and love about George.
“This next step marks another milestone in our
Evans added that the move is part of a wider shift in how the brand connects with shoppers. “This next step marks another milestone in our journey to evolve with our customers, offering them a truly engaging and seamless shopping experience driven by our people, our products, and our passion for the brand.”
The new George concept store will open its doors at 9am on Friday 31 October. The first 100 customers to shop in store will receive a free candle worth £10.
