Asda Reveals New Range of Coronation-Themed Party Food

With Coronation-fever ramping up and Brits planning their Bank Holiday celebrations, Asda announces the launch of a new range of Coronation party foods, with searches for Coronation food and drink up 1500% on Asda’s website.

Shoppers can pick up their very own quiche to rival THAT controversial Coronation dish, with either the Asda Family Crustless Quiche Lorraine (£2) or the Asda Broccoli & Cheddar Quiche (£2) to choose from.

A contemporary take on the Coronation classic, Asda’s hand-cooked Coronation Chicken Flavour Crisps (£1.35) make for a perfect snack over the bank holiday. Seasoned with a blend of spices for a classic coronation chicken flavour, each crisp is made with British potatoes and is thicker-cut for an extra crunchy texture.

Launched exclusively for the big day, Asda’s King’s Coronation Pork Pie (£5) makes an impressive centrepiece for any royal spread. Tender, seasoned cured pork is wrapped in golden pastry for a rightfully regal snack, adorned with a pastry ‘HRH’ as a nod to the new King.

If a street party is on the cards, why not try Asda’s Coronation 65 Piece Sharing Selection (£5.50). Fantastic value at just £5.50, the selection includes party food favourites like savoury eggs, chicken Kiev bites, pork cocktail sausages and sausage rolls, ensuring everyone at the table is catered for. Asda’s Golden Breaded Chicken Crowns (£3) are perfect for little ones, deliciously seasoned with golden breadcrumbs and in a novelty crown shape that’s sure to delight.

Not forgetting the classic British BBQ, Asda’s new range includes limited-edition grilling favourites such as the King Sized Beef Burgers (£4) and King Size Pork Sausages (£2.50), alongside celebratory Coronation Chicken Breast Steaks (£4.40): deliciously tender chicken breast steaks marinated in coronation seasoning with herbs, coconut flakes and a creamy coronation sauce.

Perfect for Coronation charcuterie boards, Asda’s King’s Coronation Cheese Snacking Box (£4) includes 12 bite-sized pieces of British cheese, whilst the King’s Coronation Truckle Tower (£5.50) includes three full-sized cheeses: Vintage Cheddar cheese, Cheddar Cheese with balsamic onion and Cheddar cheese with chilli and red peppers. Made with British milk and suitable vegetarians, both are ideal for party buffets or picnics over the bank holiday weekend.

For those with a sweet tooth, Asda’s Coronation Chocolate Coins (£1) and Regal All Butter Shortbread Biscuits (£6) make brilliant Coronation treats, whilst Asda’s Free From Crown Choc Lollipop (75p) is a great Coronation-themed alternative for those with dietary requirements.

The selection of royal-inspired sweet and savoury nibbles form part of Asda’s new 22-item Coronation range, so whether it’s a street party, picnic or BBQ, there’s something for everyone to enjoy on the big day.

The Coronation party food range is available in-store and online from now until the 17th of May, alongside all-year-round party food and snacking favourites.
