This holiday season, Bradford city centre is hosting a family-friendly Christmas Trail, running from 3rd December to 5th January. The event is free for everyone to enjoy. It features a nutcracker-themed adventure and festive window displays, bringing seasonal cheer to residents and visitors alike.
The trail highlights ten oversized nutcrackers positioned at key locations across the city. Participants can collect a Christmas Trail Map from Waterstones in the historic Wool Exchange to guide their journey. At each nutcracker stop, adventurers will uncover a hidden letter, which together form a holiday-themed anagram. Once solved, answers can be submitted at Waterstones for a chance to win a £100 Bradford City Centre Gift Card.
Complementing the nutcracker trail, twelve beautifully decorated windows around the city display hand-drawn Christmas scenes, adding to the seasonal atmosphere.
Leanne Holmes, Project Manager at Bradford BID, said: “Bradford city centre is looking fantastic following the transformation works, and we wanted to add to the festive atmosphere with the stunning themed artwork on the windows and the fun Nutcracker trail for visitors to enjoy.”
The Christmas Trail is part of Bradford BID’s efforts to enhance the city’s seasonal offerings, including a dazzling Christmas tree in New Market Place and a light curtain at Bradford Cathedral.
