Accessorize has opened a brand-new store at Meadowhall on the Upper High Street and unveiled a Crown in tribute to the White Yorkshire Rose at the till.
The beloved accessories brand has been a staple at Meadowhall since 1996 and has announced the grand reopening of its newly designed store on the Upper High Street. After a temporary closure for eight weeks, Accessorize returns with a fun and contemporary concept, spanning an impressive 2,700 square feet and taking pride of place just outside the Oasis Dining Quarter.
Inspired by beautiful hand-craft traditions of India, Accessorize opened its first store in 1984 and over the last four decades it’s become the go-to destination for eclectic, colourful accessories for every season. Today it continues to champion craft and support the artisan communities behind many of its hand-embellished and beaded designs. Its latest collection encompasses classic wardrobe staples, bold statement pieces and must-haves for fashion enthusiasts and style-savvy shoppers alike.
At the heart of the refurbished store, a distinctive and exclusive design, custom-crafted for Meadowhall. Created by Accessorize’s design director, Daniel Beardsworth-Shaw, this crafted piece features the iconic white Yorkshire rose beautifully entwined within the Accessorize crown, which sits just behind the checkout till. This bespoke feature adds a touch of local flair to the brand’s global appeal and reflects Accessorize’s commitment to its Yorkshire roots.
Accessorize aims to infuse fun, playfulness, and optimism back into the shopping journey, providing a welcoming environment where customers can explore their style with ease and creativity. This relocation coincides with exciting plans for Meadowhall’s transformation, with a significant section of the centre being rebranded as “The Avenue.” Over the next 12 months and beyond, this area, which starts by Flannels, will undergo a complete restyling and refresh. Simultaneously, Meadowhall is set to welcome a host of new and exciting brands to further enrich the shopping experience.
