Wakefield is set for a festive beer extravaganza this winter as the UK touring Craft Brew Festival makes its debut in the city with ‘A Hoppy Christmas Party’. The one-day event promises more tinsel, Christmas tunes and craft drinks than ever, transforming the traditional beer festival into a lively festive celebration.
Taking place at Tileyard North’s Carding Shed, the festival offers a five-hour party experience for everyone, from committed beer lovers to newcomers. Visitors can enjoy over 50 bottomless options, including craft beers, ciders, wines, prosecco, mulled wine, and non-alcoholic drinks. Half-pint pours, thirds and sample tasters make it accessible for all.

The festival will feature more than 15 of the UK’s independent breweries and drinks producers, along with a Christmas party band, festive acoustic sets, meet-the-brewer sessions, and a variety of games and giveaways. Organisers have also introduced more street food, extra facilities and special Christmas-themed festival pours for this debut Wakefield event.

Simon Robinson, Co-founder of Craft Brew Festival, said: “We are so excited to bring our festival to Wakefield for the very first time this Christmas! Wakefield felt like the perfect fit – from the incredible space at Tileyard North to the region’s famed reputation for brewing incredible beer, this feels like it’s going to be a really special one for us. We can’t wait to unwrap all the festive fun we’ve got planned for A Hoppy Christmas Party this year, with more breweries, cideries and wineries bringing more delicious craft drinks than ever before.”
After a sell-out summer series, Craft Brew Festival is aiming to keep the festive party spirit alive with its first Wakefield event. Tickets, brewery line-ups and further details are available at craftbrewfestival.co.uk.
