Dacre, Son & Hartley, Yorkshire’s largest independent estate agent, has doubled the number of rental properties it manages over the last 12 months following a major strategic push into the residential lettings sector.
The rapid portfolio growth follows the relaunch of the firm’s lettings division two years ago, alongside its acquisition of North Yorkshire agency Lister Haigh last spring. The company reports that landlords are increasingly turning to professional property management for expert guidance on complex new compliance rules, such as those introduced under the recent Renters’ Rights Act.
To handle the influx of new homes, which range from modern apartments to premium rural family houses, Dacres has expanded its team to seven dedicated lettings experts. This includes the strategic appointments of two new lettings and property managers: Deborah Saia (covering Bingley and the Aire Valley) and Rachel Fisher (covering Harrogate and North Yorkshire).

Patrick McCutcheon, Head of Residential at Dacres, said:
“Our lettings and property management division has grown significantly since relaunching and doubling the number of homes we manage in just 12 months demonstrates the strength of demand for high quality professional services across Yorkshire. We’re seeing increasing numbers of landlords looking for expert support, particularly as legislation and compliance requirements continue to evolve following the recent introduction of The Renters’ Rights Act.”
Founded more than 200 years ago, Dacre, Son & Hartley operates 17 offices across North and West Yorkshire.
