One of Leeds’ longest-running nightspots, The Space, will soon reveal an exciting new look as it marks an impressive 25 years in the city’s nightlife scene. With a £250,000 investment, the club will deliver an even bigger and better party experience, cementing its status as one of Leeds’ top venues for late-night revellers.
Since opening its doors in 1999, The Space has played a key role in the Leeds party scene, offering unforgettable nights out for clubbers across the city and beyond. Now, as it celebrates a quarter of a century, the team behind the club is pulling out all the stops to keep it at the forefront of the nightlife scene for years to come.
The extensive revamp will transform the club with fresh new décor, cutting-edge lighting, and state-of-the-art technology. A dazzling LED ceiling will create an electrifying atmosphere on the dancefloor, while an upgraded sound system will take the club’s music experience to the next level. Two brand-new VIP areas will also offer an elevated night out for those looking to party in style.
Chris Edwards, owner and founder of The Space, has spent 40 years in the nightclub industry, running multiple successful venues across Leeds and Yorkshire. The Space remains his longest-established club, and he is thrilled to give it a new lease of life.
“To have been part of the Leeds nighttime scene and a destination for partygoers and clubbers in Leeds and Yorkshire for 25 years is a huge achievement and one that we are all extremely proud of. We want that legacy to continue with the very best events and parties, setting the standard for late-night clubbing for another two decades!” said Edwards.
“We are investing heavily in refurbishing the club so that it offers the very best experience for all our loyal partygoers that fill the dancefloor week in and week out. We’d also love to see past clubbers who have loved partying at The Space over the years to come and let their hair down with us again.”
The big reveal will take place at a VIP launch party on Thursday, April 3, with celebrations continuing through the weekend. The grand reopening event kicks off on Friday, April 4, followed by the launch of the club night, Connekt, on Saturday, April 5.
Voodoo Events, the venue’s event promoter, will curate an exciting lineup of weekly events featuring top resident DJs, underground party vibes, and exclusive special guests. The club promises an unbeatable atmosphere with student nights, drinks offers, and headline acts keeping the dance floors packed.
