Leeds has a brand-new comedy hotspot, and it’s already a hit! The Glee, an award-winning independent comedy venue, made a roaring debut over the weekend with packed-out shows and a buzzing atmosphere at its Great George Street location.
The launch weekend, kicking off on Friday 28th March, saw comedy lovers turn out in force to experience the venue’s first sold-out shows. With a stellar lineup featuring BAFTA winner Tom Davis, the razor-sharp Brennan Reece, the brilliant Dylan Moran, Fin Taylor, and the hilarious Michelle De Swarte, The Glee’s arrival in Leeds certainly made a splash.
Founder Mark Tughan commented: “We couldn’t have asked for a better weekend to mark our Leeds launch. We’ve had such a warm welcome to the city, and we hope everyone who managed to get a ticket for our opening shows had a fantastic time.
“The feedback from guests on the venue, the service and of course the non-stop laughs, has been superb and we’re so excited to be here and to bring more great quality entertainment to our stage.
