Mountain Goat, the award-winning tour provider known for its scenic tours and transport services, has announced an exciting new collaboration with the iconic Yorkshire attraction, Castle Howard. Starting in April, visitors will be able to travel easily from York city centre to one of Britain’s most famous stately homes, thanks to a new shuttle service that offers a convenient and sustainable transport option. This service will provide both locals and tourists with an effortless way to visit the estate, making it more accessible for those without transport or those who prefer not to drive or park.
The shuttle service will launch just in time for the opening of Castle Howard’s 21st Century Renaissance, where significant restoration works will be unveiled to the public for the first time. The new transport link will enhance the visitor experience and allow more people to explore the breathtaking estate.
Lee Miles, Transport Manager at Mountain Goat, expressed his excitement about the partnership, saying: “We are delighted to partner with Castle Howard to provide this much-needed transport link. By offering a dedicated shuttle service, we aim to enhance visitor accessibility while promoting sustainable travel. This year marks our ten-year anniversary in York, so we’re excited to work closely with the Castle Howard team on this service.”
Ammie Jones, Head of Sales and Partnerships at Castle Howard, also shared her enthusiasm, stating: “We’re really excited to work with Mountain Goat and provide a shuttle from the city centre to Castle Howard. There is so much the estate offers, and making it that little bit more accessible for local people and tourists is really exciting. By choosing the Mountain Goat shuttle, visitors can enjoy the journey without the hassle of driving or parking.”
The shuttle service will begin on 20th April and run throughout the season. Tickets will be available for purchase from 14th March, and visitors can find more details by visiting www.castlehoward.co.uk. This new initiative is set to enhance the experience for those visiting one of Yorkshire’s most cherished landmarks.
