Peter Pan And Pirates Set To Take Over Bradford City Centre For Free Family Day

Families are being invited to a day of magic and high-seas adventure as Bradford city centre prepares to host a major free event this Easter.

On Wednesday 8th April 2026, Bradford BID is launching Pirates, Princesses and Peter Pan, a city-wide celebration designed to keep children entertained during the school holidays. From 11am to 3pm, the streets will be filled with live performances, interactive games, and storytelling sessions.

The highlight for many young explorers will be the city-wide treasure hunt. Families can pick up an adventure map from the event gazebo on Broadway and follow a trail through various local businesses. Those who complete their maps can return them to the gazebo to claim a reward and enter a prize draw to win a £100 Bradford Gift Card.

To add to the festive atmosphere, ten shop windows across the centre have been professionally decorated with Easter-themed designs. Children are also being encouraged to dress up as their favourite Neverland hero, pirate, or princess for the day.

Leanne Holmes, Projects and Finance Manager at Bradford BID, said:

“We’re really excited to bring Pirates, Princesses and Peter Pan to Bradford city centre this Easter. It’s a fantastic opportunity for families to enjoy a free day out together, with plenty of entertainment for children while exploring everything the city centre has to offer. We’re especially looking forward to seeing lots of young adventurers dressed up and taking part in the treasure hunt through our local businesses.”

The day features a packed schedule of entertainment. Fans of Peter Pan can catch his dedicated show at 11am and 2pm, with a meet-and-greet session at 12.45pm. There will also be a Princess Pavilion and a lively band of pirates roaming the streets to meet visitors throughout the afternoon.

Whether you are looking for a bit of theatre or a chance to win prizes while exploring the shops, the event is set to bring a significant boost of colour and energy to the city. Visitors should head straight to the Broadway gazebo to start their adventure.
