Trendy eyewear brand Pop Specs has officially opened its doors at Trinity Leeds, adding a fresh, fast-paced option to the city centre’s retail scene.
Located near Boots and H&M, the new store allows customers to shop for prescription glasses with speed and style. Thanks to in-store lens cutting technology, visitors can walk in, select a frame, and leave with their glasses fitted in less than 20 minutes.
Founded in 2020 by optical experts Lina Tejoprayitno and Daniel Barnes, Pop Specs was created to challenge the traditional eyewear market. The brand combines bold, contemporary frames with affordability, accessibility, and convenience. Since launching, Pop Specs has sold over 250,000 pairs of glasses and now operates more than 30 stores across the UK. In January 2024, the brand secured investment from Dragons’ Den stars Peter Jones, Touker Suleyman, and Sara Davies, accelerating its expansion.

“It’s eyewear on your terms,” said founders Dan and Lina. “Simple, fast, and without the fuss. Success for us is about staying true to our mission – making buying glasses faster, fairer, and more fun. Trinity Leeds is a fabulous retail destination and a wonderful city – it’s great to be opening here with our wonderful franchise partner Sharon… we can’t wait!”
Steven Foster, Centre Director at Trinity Leeds, added: “Pop Specs is a fantastic addition to Trinity Leeds, bringing something truly different to our retail offering. Its fast, fashion-forward approach to eyewear perfectly complements our diverse mix of brands, and we’re delighted to welcome such an innovative and rapidly growing UK retailer to the centre.”
Pop Specs at Trinity Leeds will be open Monday to Saturday from 9am to 8pm and Sunday from 11am to 5pm, offering shoppers a convenient and stylish way to pick up new glasses in record time.
