Leeds comedy favourite The Glee Club is giving families a brilliant new way to spend their weekends with the launch of a dedicated comedy show designed for the whole family.
As the city’s first monthly family-friendly comedy event, the show is all about delivering proper laughs for children, parents, and grandparents alike. Each two-hour lunchtime performance will showcase a stellar mix of top British and international stand-ups who specialise in entertaining crowds of all ages. Every single routine is strictly age-appropriate, meaning you can sit back, relax, and comfortably enjoy a live comedy experience together without any awkward moments.
The big launch line-up on Sunday 18th October features acclaimed performers Steffan Alun, Mat Ricardo, and Kirsty Newton, with even more brilliant acts set to be announced as the season gets underway. Perfect for kids aged seven and up, the lunchtime slots also feature special family food deals, making it the ideal weekend afternoon out.
The Glee Club founder Mark Tughan said: “We’re so excited to bring family-friendly comedy to Leeds for the first time. These shows will bring the same quality entertainment Glee Club is known for but to a whole new younger audience. We’ve always believed comedy is best enjoyed live, and these shows are all about creating a fun, welcoming experience that the whole family can enjoy together, and where parents can finally enjoy live stand-up without needing to arrange a babysitter.”
To celebrate the launch, they are running a massive summer sale where you can snap up tickets for the family shows at half price. The flash promotion is happening right now, giving audiences the perfect excuse to book early and secure seats with 50% off.

If you are looking for a grown-up night out instead, selected adult-only Friday and Saturday night comedy shows running throughout July are also slashed by 50% in the summer sale. The limited-time offer runs until 17th July, so you’ll need to move fast to bag the discounted tickets before the deadline.
Since opening its doors on Albion Street back in March 2025, The Glee Club has quickly become one of Leeds’ absolute go-to spots for live entertainment. It is well known across Yorkshire for its packed weekend stand-up nights with massive household names, spontaneous midweek laughs, and great late-night cocktails.
Alongside the new family shows, this summer’s adult line-up is looking cracking too. Some of the biggest names in stand-up are heading to the city over the coming months, including Jamie Hutchinson, Amit Mistry, Patrick Monahan, Justin Moorhouse, drag superstar Baga Chipz, Sunday Times bestselling author Caitlin Moran, and acclaimed Australian comedian Annie Boyle.
