Leeds Pride has announced Sugababes star Amelle Berrabah and Atomic Kitten’s Natasha Hamilton as the two major headline acts for its brand-new Freedom Party event.
The all-day street celebration will take over Lower Briggate on Saturday 18th July 2026 from 12:00 PM to 10:00 PM, kicking off a milestone weekend as organisers prepare to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Leeds Pride. Amelle Berrabah will perform the iconic pop group’s chart-topping hits as part of Amelle – Sugababes Reloaded, while Natasha Hamilton will co-headline the entertainment lineup.

The newly introduced Freedom Party represents a fresh addition to the annual festival schedule. The event will feature live entertainment split across a Main Stage and a dedicated Cabaret Stage, alongside street food vendors, market stalls, and collaborations with local independent bars. Tickets for the Saturday block party have officially launched, with prices starting from £7.50.

The main Leeds Pride festival will span Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th July, with organisers projecting record-breaking crowds for the 20th anniversary. This year’s event is billed as the most diverse in the festival’s history, placing a major focus on elevating emerging, grassroots, and local LGBTQ+ talent across multiple city stages.
A Leeds Pride spokesperson said:
“As we celebrate 20 years of Leeds Pride, we wanted to create something really special for the city. Bringing artists like Amelle and Natasha Hamilton to the Freedom Party is a huge moment for us and we can’t wait to welcome people for an unforgettable day of music, celebration and community in the heart of Leeds.”
