The Broadway Bradford is celebrating one of the most significant cultural moments of the year with the launch of a colourful new Eid Mubarak installation.
The themed display is now live in the centre near Next and will remain in place until Sunday 29th March. Designed as an eye-catching backdrop, it encourages visitors to stop and take photos to share their celebrations on social media. This latest addition to the shopping centre aims to bring a seasonal atmosphere to the city and honour the rich cultural heritage of the local community.
To make the occasion even more special, the centre is hosting a free Eid celebration on Sunday 22nd March from 12pm to 5pm. The afternoon will feature a DJ, themed arts and crafts workshops, and traditional Dhol drumming. Visitors can also look forward to a high-energy Bhangra dance showcase from Punjabi Roots, a well-known group within the Bradford area.

Ian Ward, general manager at The Broadway, said: “Eid is a hugely important moment for many of our visitors, and we’re proud to celebrate it with an installation and event that brings colour and community spirit into the centre. We hope families will join us on Sunday for an afternoon filled with culture, creativity, and celebration.”
This event is a unique addition to the calendar, as Sunday performances are not usually part of the centre’s regular programme. The team is encouraging people to make a dedicated trip to enjoy the festivities, which are designed for all ages to enjoy.
The celebration is part of an ongoing effort by the centre to create inclusive experiences that reflect the diversity of the city. More information on the event and upcoming activities can be found at www.broadwaybradford.com.
