Yorkshire adventure play destination William’s Den is returning with its immersive Trick or Treat Street event this Halloween, running from Saturday 25th to Thursday 30th October.
Part interactive theatre, part trick-or-treating, the experience invites families to explore the fictional village of Denville and solve a murder mystery. Visitors will meet colourful characters in their unique houses, enjoy live performances with special effects, collect sweets, and piece together clues to discover ‘who dunnit’.
Once the mystery is solved, the fun continues across Denville with games from William’s Den’s Play Pioneers, entertainment, a disco, photo opportunities, street food, and a fully licensed bar. Family fancy dress is encouraged, with daily prizes for the best costumes.

Now in its third year, Trick or Treat Street is Yorkshire’s first event of its kind. This year’s edition features a brand-new mystery, two new characters, and the return of favourites from last year. Sweets will be handed out to all participants, including grown-ups.
The event takes place outdoors in a maize field next to William’s Den. Families can choose daytime sessions from Saturday 25th to Thursday 30th October, or ‘after dark’ sessions from 5:30pm on Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th October. Tickets can also be upgraded to gold or platinum, which include extras such as souvenir photos and marshmallow toasting.

Tor Carver, co-founder and creator of William’s Den, said: “We’re excited to welcome families back to experience the magic of Trick or Treat Street. Trick-or-treating meets immersive theatre, it’s fun for all the family and the best way to murder a few hours this October half term.
“So don your best costumes, bring your detective skills and get into the spooky spirit with us this half-term. Tickets are flying, so we recommend booking early to secure the best slot!”
Tickets start at £7.20 for ages 1-3 and £18.20 for over 3s. Early Bird tickets are available online for a limited time. William’s Den adventure play will not be open during the event. For more information, visit www.williamsden.co.uk/events/view/trick-or-treat-street.
