Oakleys Grill and Pizzeria

Oakleys is one of Skipton’s most popular restaurants. It’s been in the town for a number of years so has built up a steady stream of loyal customers who return regularly for good food and a family-friendly atmosphere. The menu at Oakley’s comprises of pizzas, pastas, burgers, salads, grills and more. Probably best known for their enormous calzones and tasty Pizza Fries, it’s a great option for a family gathering or large celebratory meal.
Their early bird offer runs Monday to Thursday between 5 pm and 7 pm and on Fridays from noon until 5 pm. During these times you can get any pizza, pasta, burger or salad main course for £8.95 or £13.95 with any appetiser or dessert. We highly recommend their Crispy Cajun Prawns! As you could save as much as £7.95 per person, this is a super popular offer. Make sure you book in advance – last bookings for this deal are taken at 6:45 pm.
Craven Heifer
Grassington Rd, Skipton BD23 3LA
The Craven Heifer on Grassington Road is a popular countryside pub and restaurant. Located on Tarn Moor, this traditional countryside pub is a big hit with walkers and visitors to The Dales. It has an excellent reputation for serving good quality homemade food in a cosy, welcoming environment. On their menu you’ll find all the usual pub classics like fish & chips, homemade pies and delicious roasts as well as nibbles, starters, sharing boards and desserts. The highest priced dishes on this menu cost £13 each so you could save a total of £6 when taking advantage of this early bird deal.
The early bird offer at The Craven Heifer runs Monday to Friday between 5 pm and 7 pm. There is a set menu for this deal and you can choose any two meals from this for just £20. The menu changes seasonally but currently includes dishes such as Beer Battered Haddock, Steak & Ale Pie, Cheese & Onion Pie and Chicken, Chorizo and Shallot Casserole.
Brody’s Yorkshire Pizzeria
9 Sheep St, Skipton BD23 1JH
Housed in Skipton’s old Town Hall, Brody’s is a family run restaurant offering modern Italian cuisine. Their pizzas and pasta dishes are authentic and delicious, as are their indulgent desserts. In addition to these great Italian favourites, you’ll also find a selection of tasty meat, seafood, vegetarian and vegan dishes on their carefully thought out menu.
The early bird offer at Brody’s is available Sunday to Thursday from 5 until 6:30 pm and on Fridays and Saturdays between 5 pm and 6 pm. Choose a main course of fresh pasta or a traditional stone baked pizza for £10.50. If one course isn’t enough to satsify you, then you may enjoy two courses for £13.95 or three for just £16.95. We recommend finishing with their exceptional homemade cheesecake! The potential saving here per person is over a tenner so it’s well worth taking advantage of this offer!
Lychee
Pinder Bridge, Keighley Road, Skipton BD23 2LX
Lychee is a fully licesnsed Cantonese restaurant. Run by a family originating from the Guangdong province of South Eastern China, the talented chefs here have been cooking authentic Cantonese cuisine for a quarter of a century. The food here is fresh, fragrant and bursting with flavour. Expect to find all the usual Cantonese favourites on their extensive menu as well as some provincial dishes and chef specials.
Their early bird offer runs Tuesday to Thursday and is available between 5 and 7 pm. Again, the eary bird menu here is separate to the restaurant’s main menu but it does include some of their most popular dishes. Choose two courses for £12.90 or three courses for £14.90. Main course dishes include Sweet and Sour Chicken, Chicken Curry, Beef in Black Bean Sauce and Tofu in Satay Sauce. All main dishes are served with either Egg Fried Rice or Boiled Rice. Unlike many Cantonese restaurants, they have an excellent dessert menu with tasty treats like Ginger Sponge Pudding and Chocolate Fudge Cake on offer.
The Brasserie at The Devonshire Arms
Bolton Abbey, Skipton BD23 6AJ
This luxury hotel and spa is just outside of Skipton at the incredibly picturesque Bolton Abbey. A popular venue for weddings and other celebrations, it’s the perfect countryside retreat. Surrounded by stunning countryside and offering first class facilities and accommodation, a stay here is a real treat. Those who are not staying at this much celebrated hotel, may still make a dine at their excellent restaurant – The Brasserie. With its vibrant, contemporary interiors and terrace area offering spectacular views of The Dales, it’s perfect for an intimate, relaxing meal for two.
The early bird menu at The Brasserie is available Monday to Saturday from 12 – 2:30 pm and from 6pm until 7 pm. It’s a set menu for their early bird offer and you can choose two courses for £19 or three for £22. As one would expect of a hotel of this calibre, the food at The Brasserie is of a very high standard. Prepared by phenomenally talented chefs, the menu features some wonderful British classics which have been given a sophisticated twist. As they use seasonal, locally sourced ingredients where possible, the menu changes regularly, but expect to choose from around four dishes for each course.
