The Prince of Wales Hospice is inviting families, friends and neighbours to enjoy a day out at its popular Family Fun Day, returning to Pontefract Park on Sunday 20 July 2025. Running from 11am to 4pm, the event is free to enter and open to all.
Organised by the local hospice, the day promises a full schedule of entertainment, activities and food for all ages. From live music and garden games to birds of prey displays and fairground rides, there’s plenty to explore and enjoy.
Stalls from local businesses will line the park, offering visitors a chance to browse, chat and shop while showing support for the work of the hospice. A variety of food options will be available throughout the day.
The Family Fun Day has become a regular highlight in the Hospice’s calendar. It’s not only a chance for the community to come together but also a way to raise awareness and funds for the care provided by the charity.
Adrian Greenwood, Fundraising Manager at The Prince of Wales Hospice, said: “Our Family Fun Day is always a brilliant way to spend a Sunday afternoon with your loved ones. Whether you’re coming for the entertainment, the food, or to support the hospice, we can’t wait to welcome you.”
