Leeds underground bar and club Distrikt is gearing up to celebrate its 15th birthday with not one but two huge parties.
Spread across two nights on October 11 and 12, the events will incorporate the courtyard and basement bar and will feature a stellar line-up of artists, all chosen for the mark they have each made on Distrikt over the past 15 years.
A truly defining set of artists that have shaped their careers around the venue will take to the decks to kick off proceedings on Friday October 11. Spillman joins forces with Pach for an exclusive back-to-back set alongside Marlie, Just Jam and Distrikt’s very own Mason Talbot setting the tone for the weekend’s celebrations.
Part two on Saturday October 12 is not only a UK first but a global debut as Leeds’ very own Tristan da Cunha and Reeshy team up with Silverlining for a world exclusive back-to-back. With a career spanning 25 years and a dynamic underground dancefloor sound Silverlining is a hugely respected artist, making this trio a collaboration not to be missed!
Headlining Saturday all the way until 8am is the undisputed king of house Dan Ghenacia. Dan is one of France’s hottest DJ exports and is known for launching his own label Freak N’Chic as well as being one of the three creative minds behind label and DJ outfit Apollonia.
Distrikt co-owner, Rosita Rogers, said: “Our 15th birthday celebrations will be a truly special two-part showcase. We have considered the line up very carefully and wanted to invite some of the most prominent figures on the Leeds circuit as well as some rising stars and those DJs who have a strong connection to Leeds and the venue.
“There is some exceptional homegrown talent here in Leeds and we are really excited to have a line-up that pays homage to that. We also can’t wait to welcome Dan Ghenacia back to the club after a phenomenal set on New Year’s Eve 2023 when he blew everyone away, so we are expecting more of the same!”
Distrikt first opened its doors in 2009 and over the last 15 years it has played host to some of the finest international DJs & artists, week in, week out.
Its down-to-earth approach, unmatched atmosphere and commitment to always operating a free entry door policy means it has gone from strength to strength.
Rosita added: “Our birthday showcase is a nod to the journey we’ve been on over the last 15 years and a thank you to everyone that has joined us along the way. We wouldn’t be where we are if it wasn’t for our amazing loyal customers who keep the dancefloor going week after week. This celebration is just as much theirs as it is ours.”
