About Skipton Farmers Market
Skipton is well known for its popular weekday market and attracts stallholders of all kinds, as well as the thousands of tourists that visit each year. Over the years it’s won lots of great awards for being one of the best in the UK.
Skipton Farmers and Craft Market is a separate event, which complements the regular market and offers even greater variety. It’s location also differs, rather than taking place on Skipton
It’s been a great addition to the Skipton events calendar for almost two years now, and is the product of lots of hard work and dedication from husband and wife team Susan and Richard Feather.
The couple themselves are well known within the Skipton community for their business, Feathers Funky Eggs, which supplies a variety of delicious eggs, such as Ostrich and Goose. Richard can often be found raising the mood in all kinds of eccentric costumes, including his portrayal as The Grinch.
The market itself takes place on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month and is one of the most varied Farmers and Craft Markets in the region. You can expect to find everything from Chocolatiers to Stone Masons, bespoke Toymakers to Carpenters making it well worth a visit.
If you’ve not visited the market yet, make sure to put it in your diary! If you want to keep up with what’s going on at the Skipton Farmers Market, they have a Facebook page.
