The Angel Inn at Hetton is awarded a Michelin Star

The Michelin guide has officially released this year’s list of restaurants which have been awarded a Michelin Star.

This year’s list, which was released at an award ceremony at The Hurlingham Club in Fulham, London, sees local restaurant The Angel at Hetton awarded its first star. This comes after it recently changed ownership and follows them being awarded four AA Rosettes.

In a recent review from the Telegraph, the Angel is described “The Angel, a Yorkshire institution, has been refurbished to a high standard under co-ownership of two-starred Michelin chef Michael Wignall and his wife Johanna. There are lovely bucolic views from most of its nine smart guest rooms and it’s in a great position for exploring the wider Yorkshire Dales National Park.”

As well as the new addition to Yorkshires Michelin Starred restaurants, four others managed to maintain their list, they include; The Man Behind The Curtain in Leeds, the Black Swan at Oldstead; Pipe and Glass at Dalton and the Star Inn at Harome.
