Perfect for late risers and those who can’t stomach an early breakfast, Brunch is the name given to a meal that is eaten later than lunch but earlier than breakfast. It is by no means a new concept but it is certainly seeing a significant increase in popularity right now, leading eateries across the UK to extend their breakfast times or create new menus.
Boozy brunches are particularly popular and there are plenty of places offering “Bottomless Brunch” deals that include a meal and as much drink as you can consume within a specified timeframe. Downing gallons of Prosecco at 8 am isn’t considered healthy but when the little hand reaches 11, it’s perfectly acceptable and we highly recommend it.
The North Yorkshire city of Ripon has much to offer visitors. One of England’s oldest cities, it boasts a pretty cathedral, an ancient Hornblower, a bustling marketplace, numerous historic buildings and an excellent array of superb independent eateries. If you’re planning on visiting this popular Yorkshire city anytime soon, you’ll more than likely be planning on eating at one of their restaurants, cafes or pubs. Brunch is the perfect dining option for tourists as travelling may mean you will arrive a little too late for breakfast and a tad too early for lunch. We’ve put together a short guide to some of the best brunches in Ripon so be sure to have a read through before your visit!
