Competition Terms and Conditions

By entering this competition, you agree to these terms and conditions.

1. Promoter and Data Controller

The promoter of this competition is Roaring Media Ltd, trading as The Yorkshire Press. The data controller for this competition is Roaring Media Ltd. By entering, you consent to your personal data being processed in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

2. How to Enter

To enter the competition, you must complete the entry form on the competition page, providing your name and email address. You may also choose to opt in to receive communications from The Yorkshire Press, as well as from campaign partners, Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland, by ticking the relevant boxes. Opting in is not essential to enter the competition, and choosing to opt in will not increase your chances of winning.

3. Entry Date and Time

The competition will be open to entries from 09.00 AM UTC, 20th December, 2024.

4. Closing Date

The competition will close at 17:00,  27th December 2024. Entries received after this date will not be counted.

5. The Prize

The prize consists of a family ticket to Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland and a bespoke HARIBO hamper. The prize cannot be exchanged for a cash alternative and is non-transferable.

6. Winner Selection and Notification

The winner will be selected at random from all eligible entries received by the closing date. The winner will be notified by email within [X] days of the competition closing. If the winner does not respond to the notification within 24 hours, the prize will be reallocated to another randomly selected entrant. Details on award are available on request by emailing advertise@theyorkshirepress.co.uk.

7. Eligibility

The competition is open to UK residents only. Entrants must be 18 years or older at the time of entry. Employees of Roaring Media Ltd, Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland, HARIBO, or any associated agencies are not eligible to enter.

8. Data Protection

By entering the competition, you agree to the collection, storage, and processing of your personal data for the purposes of administering the competition and sending you marketing communications (if opted in). For more details, please refer to our Privacy Policy. To object to the use of your personal data please email advertise@theyorkshirepress.co.uk.

9. Prize Delivery

The winner will be contacted via the email provided and will be responsible for providing any necessary details for prize delivery. Prizes will be sent directly from the campaign partners. Prizes will be awarded within 1 – 30 days of the prize drow.

10. General Terms

• Only one entry per person is allowed.
• Roaring Media Ltd reserves the right to cancel, amend, or withdraw the competition without notice, if required by law or circumstances beyond its control.
• The promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
• The prize cannot be transferred, and no cash alternative is available.

11. Liability

Roaring Media Ltd accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury caused by participating in the competition or accepting the prize, except where caused by negligence.

12. Governing Law

This competition and these terms and conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from the competition will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. Marketing Communications

By entering the competition, you may choose to opt in to receive marketing communications from The Yorkshire Press and Yorkshire’s Winter Wonderland. Opting in is not required to enter the competition, and will not affect your chances of winning. You can unsubscribe from any marketing communications at any time by using the ‘unsubscribe’ link in any email we send you.
