This October, Spilmans Farm is back with its much-loved Pumpkin Festival, and there are more chances than ever to visit in 2025. The festival begins on Saturday 27th and Sunday 28th September, and continues on 4th and 5th October, 11th and 12th October, 18th and 19th October and then every day from 25th to 31st October. The farm will be closed from 29th September to 3rd October, and from Tuesday 7th October it will open six days a week.
Once you arrive, grab a wheelbarrow and head straight to the fields. With thousands of pumpkins to choose from in every shape, size and colour, you will be spoilt for choice. From orange and green to blue, pink, white, warty and even multi-coloured varieties, they really do have them all. Pumpkins are priced at the pumpkin hut according to size, starting at £2.50 and going up to £12 for the jumbo pumpkins.
There are three pumpkin fields to explore this year, each with plenty of photo opportunities, so you can capture special memories with friends and family. Best of all, there is no booking required, making it easy to enjoy one of North Yorkshire’s most popular autumn days out.
Yorkshire Pumpkins

Head to Yorkshire Pumpkins this autumn for a fun family day out in the North Yorkshire countryside. There are even more pumpkins this year, from orange, yellow and pink to blue, warty and leopard print, plus a great selection of gourds and Crown Prince pumpkins for cooking. There is something for everyone, whether you want a tiny hand-held pumpkin or a giant one that fills your wheelbarrow.
The fun doesn’t stop at picking. Kids can race up the bale mountain, ride the toy tractors, play pumpkin bowling or pumpkin noughts and crosses, and wash their pumpkins at the pumpkin wash. There are plenty of photo opportunities too, with a vintage tractor and the bale sofa making perfect backdrops.
When you need a break, enjoy homemade refreshments, hot and cold drinks, or pizza from the horsebox van. Tickets are £2 each for everyone except babies in arms. Your booking time is just your arrival window, and you are welcome to stay all day. Tickets do not include a pumpkin, which is paid for separately at the patch

Spilmans Farm’s Pumpkin Festival is now open and runs on 4th and 5th, 11th and 12th, 18th and 19th, and 24th to 31st October.
Your event ticket gives you access to plenty of seasonal fun. There is the new Spilmans Got Talent: Spooky Spectacular show, a Halloween fancy dress disco with Skelebones, and a £5 pumpkin credit per person to spend on your perfect pumpkins. Tickets also give you a discount on the Spilmans Activity Plus voucher, which can be used on attractions like the bale mountain, giant slide, giant maize pit, jumping pillow, pumpkin slingshot, corn cannon, barrel train, BB machine gun range, and the new Scare School with Professor Frightingale. One adult can join in the carving barn and spooky walk for free, so everyone can join in the fun.
If you prefer a quieter day, Spilmans has reserved 14th to 17th and 21st to 23rd October just for pumpkin lovers. Join Cedarbarn Farm for Halloween fun from 25th to 31st October 2025. Families can choose a day and either a morning or afternoon session to enjoy a spooky, pumpkin-filled adventure.
Each session begins with a ride on the ghost train to the pumpkin patch. Children can pick their pumpkin and then head back to the tent for carving. There are also Halloween crafts and games to enjoy, and the airstream trailer will be serving spooky food and drinks throughout the day.
Tickets include one pumpkin for carving, one train ride, and access to the craft tent and games. Adult tickets for the ghost train can be purchased on the day, and children must be supervised while riding. Extra pumpkins can be purchased from the farm shop. All bookings are online, and email confirmations should be shown on arrival.

Farmer Copley’s Pumpkin Festival is back this autumn, bigger and better than ever. The festival runs from 27th September to 31st October 2025.
Wander through over 300,000 homegrown pumpkins in more than 40 unique varieties, from classic orange to white, green, and even striped pumpkins. The fields create a stunning patchwork of colour and are perfect for family photos and seasonal memories.
There is plenty of fun for all ages. Alongside pumpkin picking, enjoy tractor rides through the pumpkin fields, live shows and entertainment, archery, and vintage fairground rides. Children can join witches’ storytime and magical performances, meet Velcro the Scarecrow and other family characters, take part in daily fancy dress competitions, or watch the dog parade. Delicious street food and festival bars are also available throughout the day.

Cannon Hall Farm

Cannon Hall Farm is preparing for its highly anticipated annual pumpkin-picking event this October, providing a wonderful autumn experience for families. With almost 10,000 pumpkins to choose from, visitors can wander the patch at their leisure and find the perfect pumpkin for carving or display. Each child with a paid ticket receives a complimentary pumpkin, adding to the fun of this seasonal outing.
The patch, voted the number one pumpkin patch to visit in the UK in a study by Austen and Blake, is packed with Instagram-worthy family moments. Expert carvers are on hand to help create spooky or smiley faces, and can even carve your pumpkin for you. Visitors are encouraged to wear fancy dress, with spot prizes offered for those who make a special effort. Kids can also take part in a spooky quiz, which can be traded for a treat from our friendly witch.
Tickets include all-day access to the farm’s attractions, including outdoor adventure play, indoor soft play, sheep and ferret racing, animal talks, and visits to the reptile and mammal house. The last arrival each day is 2.30pm to ensure you have plenty of time to enjoy the event.
Stockeld Park

This October, Stockeld Park will be transformed into a magical Halloween playground for families. The Enchanted Forest becomes a spooky haven where Woodland Witches invite visitors to help make potions, craft wands, and discover their future.
New for 2025, a free tractor and trailer ride takes you to the brand-new home-grown pumpkin field. Meet the scarecrow, take plenty of photos, and pick your perfect pumpkin. Pumpkin prices start from 80p per kilo, and the field is open until 31st October, while tickets remain valid. Please note that access to the pumpkin field is included with Halloween Adventure tickets, excluding Playhive Only tickets.

Your ticket includes a tractor and trailer ride to the picking fields to start your pumpkin adventure. Pick a wheelbarrow and wander the fields at your own pace. There are plenty of Halloween-themed photo opportunities around the farm to capture those seasonal memories.
