The first-ever Graves Park Food and Drink Festival takes place in Sheffield this weekend, with organisers announcing a packed programme of live entertainment, food stalls and activities for all ages.
Festival Director Michael Johnston said, “We’ve put in a lot of work behind the scenes to ensure a diverse festival programme with entertainment spanning the entire weekend. Graves Park is the perfect location to celebrate the very best of everything the region has to offer.”
Live Music Across Three Stages
The festival line-up features 14 performances from Yorkshire musicians alongside headline tribute acts. Robbie Williams Tribute Liam Gray takes the stage on Saturday 30 August, while Beatles tribute The Fab4 close the event on Sunday 31 August.
Cookery Theatre Highlights
The Cookery Theatre will feature chefs and restaurateurs including MasterChef’s Bobby Geetha, Tom Wells-Lomas of Silversmiths, and Great British Bake Off contestant Sandy Docherty.
Family Entertainment
The Entertainers Stage hosts magic shows, ventriloquism and circus workshops from performers including The Magic Matt Show, Matthew J Magic and John Kimmons. Visitors can also enjoy the Foodie Olympics, The Foodie Clue Quest scavenger hunt, children’s drawing competitions, cooking classes, roaming performers, a fun fair, axe throwing, bubble shows, a comedy improv set and Ian’s Mobile Petting Zoo.
Street Food and Drinks
More than 22 independent street food and dessert traders will serve dishes from across the world, from Italy and Jamaica to Venezuela and China. Eleven bars will pour cocktails, spirits, wines, ciders and hot drinks, while the Soldier’s Ale House, in partnership with Vocation Brewery, offers draught favourites.
Artisan Markets
Over 60 independent businesses will showcase handmade crafts, jewellery, art, sauces, sweet goods and more in the Artisan Markets.
Festival Details
The festival takes place in the field between Graves Park Rose Garden Playground and Graves Park Animal Farm, with free parking available for ticket holders. Proceeds will support Sheffield Mind, continuing the festival team’s fundraising efforts after raising more than £154,000 for mental health initiatives across the north.
