Tom Shepherd’s ‘Best Ever Pub Pie’ Returns to Marston’s Pubs Across the UK

Marston’s has teamed up once again with Michelin-starred chef Tom Shepherd to bring back the much-loved Best Ever Pub Pie to pubs across the UK.

Following a sell-out launch earlier this year, the triple-layer pie will be available in over 100 Marston’s pubs from 4 September, while stocks last.

The indulgent pie features a rich combination of hand-pulled beef cheek and beef shin, caramelised onions, and a savoury potato layer, all encased in a textured beef fat shortcrust pastry. It is served with creamed mashed potatoes, honey-roasted carrots, kale, peas, green beans, mangetout, and a rich red wine sauce.

For those looking to elevate the experience, the pie is recommended with a bold, juicy Malbec, available by the glass or bottle at participating pubs.

Tom Shepherd, who won the main course round of Great British Menu in 2023, said: “We were thrilled by the reaction when the pie first launched. It’s rich, indulgent, and pairs perfectly with a glass of Malbec. You’ll need to act fast if you want to try it this time!”
