Sheffield BID Partners With Local Digital Specialists To Boost City Footfall

Sheffield Business Improvement District (BID) has appointed local agency The SEO Works to lead a new strategic digital campaign aimed at growing the city centre’s consumer audience. The partnership follows Sheffield BID’s successful re-election for a third term, with a five-year mandate to strengthen the local trading environment and boost visitor spend.

The collaboration is a “levy payer” success story, as the BID chose to source specialist support from within its own network of city centre businesses. The SEO Works, a leading digital firm based in Sheffield, will manage a targeted social media strategy designed to showcase events, activities, and exclusive offers to residents and visitors.

The campaign will focus heavily on user-generated video content to capture the vibrant atmosphere of the city. By utilising Meta Ads, the strategy will initially target local audiences before expanding into surrounding counties like Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire to attract regional tourists to Sheffield’s shops, restaurants, and leisure venues.
