Bradford city centre will be transformed into a coastal-inspired destination this summer as Bradford BID launches Bradford By The Sea, a free family-friendly event running from 17th to 27th August.
Designed to bring a splash of seaside fun to the heart of the city, the event will feature activities and attractions aimed at families, visitors, and city centre workers.
Visitors can relax in deckchairs set up around the Mirror Pool, explore a giant Playbox filled with activities for young children, and join in with a selection of garden games.
A central highlight of the event is a dedicated sand sculpture trail created by Yorkshire-based art group Sand in Your Eye, featuring coastal-inspired creations placed across the city centre.
Trail maps can be collected from the Broadway Hub, where participants can begin their search for a hidden secret word. Anyone completing the trail can enter a prize draw to win a £100 Bradford Gift Card.
Nikki Chadburn, Business Communications Manager at Bradford BID, said: “Bradford By The Sea is all about bringing people into the city centre to enjoy something fun, free and a little bit different this summer.
“Whether families are looking for activities to keep the children entertained, or people simply want somewhere to relax and soak up the atmosphere, there will be plenty to enjoy. We are really looking forward to seeing the city centre come alive with seaside spirit.”
Bradford By The Sea runs in Bradford city centre from 17th to 27th August, with free activities available throughout the event period.
