Leeds United’s Anton Stach Launches Limited-Edition Burger at Meat:Stack

Leeds United midfielder and German international Anton Stach has teamed up with local independent burger venue Meat:Stack to launch a new limited-edition menu item.

The ‘Anton Stach Moustachi Cheeseburger’ lands at the Bishopgate Street venue on Tuesday 18th August. The collaboration aims to boost footfall for the restaurant, which sits opposite Leeds Station and has faced months of disruption due to surrounding redevelopment works, while raising funds for charity, with £2 from every burger sold donated to the Elhadj Diouf Foundation (EDF).

Stach visited the Meat:Stack kitchen on Monday 10th August to help build the burger alongside the culinary team. On launch day, Tuesday 18th August, Stach will return to the site in person to meet fans, sign autographs, and serve the initial run of burgers on a first-come, first-served basis.

Discussing the partnership, Stach said: “Meat:Stack is one of those places fans go to before and after a game, and they’ve had a hard time with the building work on their doorstep. I wanted to back a business Leeds fans care about, and raising money for a foundation my family has given so much to at the same time means everything.”

Meat:Stack founder Allan Hyslop added: “We’ve had a proper baptism of fire opening up opposite a building site, but Leeds has kept turning up for us, and this is our way of turning up for Leeds. Anton Stach Moustachi Cheeseburger is big, it’s bold, and every single one puts £2 into a cause his family have poured their hearts into.”

The Anton Stach Moustachi Cheeseburger will be available at Meat:Stack, 3 Bishopgate Street, LS1 5DY, from Tuesday 18 August throughout the opening weeks of the football season, before becoming a permanent menu feature.
