The Queens Hotel Leeds has appointed experienced hospitality leader Bob Fairweather as its new General Manager, bringing commercial and operational expertise to the landmark city-centre property.
Fairweather joined the hotel in March 2026 from LGH Hotels, where he served as Regional General Manager based at The Queen in Chester, overseeing a regional portfolio spanning Liverpool, Preston, and Wrexham. His career across leading UK hospitality brands includes senior leadership positions as Dual Site General Manager for Crowne Plaza Manchester City Centre and Holiday Inn Express Manchester City Centre, as well as General Manager at Marriott Manchester Airport.
In his new position, Fairweather will focus on strengthening the hotel’s reputation for guest experiences while developing its offering for leisure visitors, business travellers, conferences, and events.

Commenting on his appointment, Fairweather said: “I am honoured to be joining The Queens Hotel team. The hotel combines a rich heritage dating back to 1937 with a modern, guest-focused approach to hospitality, making it one of Leeds’ most iconic and distinctive hotels. My priority is to support and develop our talented team so we can continue delivering exceptional experiences for every guest. We also have a number of exciting projects planned across the hotel, including investment in colleague facilities and the creation of a new café bar.”
Suzanne Bush, Operations Director at Axiom Hospitality, added: “We are excited to welcome Bob to The Queens. He brings an outstanding track record of leading high-performing teams and delivering exceptional guest experiences across a variety of hotels. Bob’s passion for great hospitality and his strategic approach make him the ideal person to lead The Queens into its next chapter.”
