Leeds-based independent legal practice Blacks Solicitors LLP has announced its most successful financial year on record, alongside the launch of a refreshed brand identity.
Turnover for the 2025/2026 financial year surpassed £22.9 million for the first time in the firm’s history. Over the past 12 months, the practice supported a nationwide client base, including major brands such as Morrisons, Harmony Energy, and Harrogate Spring Water.
The firm’s new brand identity is built around the strapline, “Legal expertise. Human inspiration.” The refresh is designed to highlight the firm’s capacity for handling complex commercial transactions and supporting high-net-worth individuals, while emphasising the personal approach of its client service team.
Managing Partner Chris Allen said: “We wanted a brand that reflects who we are today and supports our ambitions for the future, while remaining true to the values that have always defined the firm.”
The record financial performance follows the firm’s recent announcement that it will be moving its headquarters to newly acquired office spaces across the fourth and fifth floors at 29 King Street in Leeds city centre.

The 33-partner firm has also experienced notable workforce growth, with its overall headcount increasing by more than 35% over the past four years, growing from 184 to 250 employees. This includes the recent return of senior appointments Merissa Galley and Phil Parkinson, alongside the addition of three new trainees and three newly qualified solicitors over the last quarter.
