Yorkshire-based shed manufacturer, Power Sheds, has been crowned 2021 regional winners of the Scale-Up Entrepreneur award at this year’s Great British Entrepreneur awards.
Having seen an increase in revenue of 227% over the last 12 months and increasing their workforce by 143% to meet demand, Power Sheds, based in Bradford, have been awarded this coveted prize to cap off the calendar year.
Having only been operating since February 2019, the business has already smashed through their three-year plan and moved to a new 44,000 square foot manufacturing facility in order to keep up with skyrocketing demand.
The Great British Entrepreneur Awards have been running since 2012 and aim to acknowledge and champion the hard work and inspiring stories of entrepreneurs and businesses around the United Kingdom.
This year’s awards were the first in-person event since the pandemic began and presented an opportunity to recognise those businesses who had flourished during the pandemic, with 1,200 people in attendance at Grosvenor House in London.
This award sits alongside many other wins for Power Sheds, who were named one of the Sunday Times ‘Top 3 Start-Ups to Watch Out For’. The shed manufacturer has also been named winner of the ‘eBay for Business Awards for Innovation 2020’ and ‘Best New Business’ at the Lloyds National Business Awards 2020, amongst other accolades.
