Appleton’s Butchers, a North Yorkshire staple since 1867, is marking Christmas 2024 with a series of festive activities aimed at bringing the community together and supporting local causes.
A Bright Christmas in Ripon
The shopfront of Appleton’s Ripon branch will be illuminated this December, thanks to a collaboration with Lights4Fun. The festive lights aim to attract both locals and visitors looking for a cheerful Christmas experience, offering a relaxed alternative to the busy streets of York.
Supporting Local Charities
Appleton’s has partnered with JennyRuth Workshop, a Ripon-based charity supporting individuals with learning disabilities. Together, they’ve created a limited-edition chopping board, with all proceeds going to the charity. JennyRuth Workshop helps provide vocational training and employment skills, making this initiative a meaningful way to give back during the festive season.
Anthony Sterne, owner of Appleton’s Butchers, said, “We’re thrilled to bring some Christmas sparkle to our shop in Ripon and support a great cause. Our partnership with JennyRuth Workshop and Lights4Fun is about spreading cheer and helping our community while offering delicious festive fare for the Christmas table.”
Festive Hampers
