First run in 2004, the Doncaster Greyhound St Leger Heats race attracts some of the best greyhound racing talent there is. Rumoured as one of the highlight calendar events of the year at Doncaster racecourse, the event is usually attended by some of the top dogs and their trainers from across the UK.

Iconic trainers that have previously attended include Mark Wallis, Patrick Janssens and Angela Harrison. The event usually runs every October, with prizes up to £12,000 for the winner and £1,500 for the runner up. 

Rag N Bone Man

While the racecourse is famous for its Greyhound racing events, it’s also known to host a number of reputable music events too. For those that are excited to get back to the music scene, Rag N Bone Man will be playing at the venue on Friday the 13th of August 2021. The standalone show is selling out quickly as the artist will be playing tunes from his long awaited second album, ‘Life by Misadventure’. 

The one off performance will kick off at 6.30 in the evening and will end around 10.30. Tickets can be purchased here. 

Jess Glynne – Live after racing!

On Saturday the 14th of August, the British hit singing sensation Jess Glynne will be playing at Doncaster stadium after the race. For those looking to make a day of the events, the show offers a perfect way to round off a day at the races with a night full of good music. 

Originally from North London, the singer/songwriter Jess Glynne is a Grammy award winner who has established herself across the globe. Breaking into mainstream music with her debut single ‘My Love’ in 2013, Glynne paved the way for a hit album that took the world by storm. Other hits include ‘Not Letting Go’, ‘Real Love’ and ‘Right Here’. 

Tickets start at £40 and while Premier tickets have now sold out, there are still a number of hospitality packages available for the ultimate family evening. 

British Bred Oaks

The British Bred Oaks is another enjoyable day out at the Doncaster Racecourse where families and betting fans alike come together to watch the historic race. The race is usually held annually in August and entry is free. Previous race prizes have totalled £4000 for first place and £600 for the runner up.
