Alexander’s, the Skipton-based Grand Café, restaurant and bar is celebrating 5 years on Skipton’s iconic High Street this year. And, as they head into their 6th Christmas there’s magic in the air once again.
Owned by Susannah Daley, founder of entertainment and experiences agency PEEL, Alexander’s plays host to a jam-packed calendar of inspired days and nights!
A rare twist on some of the UK’s best loved places to drink and dine, Alexander’s (think Betty’s, mixed with The Ivy with a nod to The Wolseley) is inspired by the Grand Tour Era- timeless, stylish and fanciful. Following a £2million investment, their Georgian double-fronted building was transformed into a ‘palace of delights’ with tiled parlour to the front, stylish theatre kitchen and, the piece de resistance the incredible tiered terrace- which, whilst perfect for Mediterranean-esque alfresco dining and lounging in the Summer, transforms into the most stunning Winter Terrace and apres-ski experience complete with Alpine Lodge in the winter- welcome to ‘Off Piste’!
This week, Alexander’s are set to launch their “Off Piste” alpine ‘chalet’ pop-up restaurant! Now in its sixth year, they have been delighting visitors to the Yorkshire Dales and are becoming THE place for festive merriment for people living and working in the area.
Aimed at small parties, it’s pure escapism where guests cosy up underneath twinkling lights and fur blankets whilst their private chef serves delectable dishes from their latest apres-ski menu featuring sweet and savoury fondues, all making for intimate and unique dining with friends.
Along with magical Santa Experiences, and regular Gin & Jazz evenings, Alexander’s is set for a memorable 6th Christmas in Skipton. Look out for Old Year’s Day, their unique take on traditional New Year celebrations which includes all day family-friendly dining with entertainment until late afternoon.
