Cinnamon Kitchen Leeds is set to mark Holi with a week-long celebration from Monday 2 to Sunday 8 March, bringing the energy and bold flavours of India’s most joyful festival to the heart of the city. Founded by acclaimed chef Vivek Singh, the restaurant will feature a limited-edition Holi Sharing Feast alongside theatrically colour-dusted cocktails designed to celebrate the triumph of good over evil.
The communal dining experience, priced at £35 per person (minimum of two guests), offers both meat and vegetarian menus inspired by regional Indian favourites.
The Holi Sharing Feast
The meat-led menu starts with sweet and spicy Chinjabi chilli chicken, followed by main courses of Old Delhi-style Butter Chicken and a rich Lamb Rogan Josh. The vegetarian alternative features salt-baked beetroot hummus with Wensleydale cheese, moving into a fragrant Tellicherry root vegetable biryani and tandoori mushroom in a spinach and garlic sauce.
Both feasts include freshly baked naan, aromatic pilau rice, and a seasonal chef’s side. For dessert, guests can enjoy warm Kolkata-style gulab jamun with ice cream and a refreshing sorbet of the day.
Limited-Edition Cocktails (£12.00 each)
To mirror the traditional gulal powders thrown during festivities, Cinnamon Kitchen has created three vibrant serves:
- Golden Masala (Yellow): Ripe mango with smoky, warming spices.
- Rani Rouge (Red): Sweet peach blended with juicy berries.
- Emerald Refresher (Green): Crisp cucumber, fresh mint, and apple.
