Walled Garden Easter Trail at Castle Howard

Step into the magic of spring at Castle Howard’s Walled Garden Easter Trail, running from April 5th to April 27th! This family-friendly adventure invites little explorers to help animal parents reunite with their mischievous babies. Badger, deer, owl, fox, and their friends have lost their little ones in the Walled Garden, and it’s up to you to track down their tiny footprints, take a rubbing, and bring the babies back to their families for a sweet chocolatey prize.
For the full experience, a House & Garden ticket is your best option, as it also gives you the chance to explore the grand stately home. Easter Adventure at Stockeld Park

This year’s Easter Adventure promises to be a superb day out, particularly for little ones. Visitors will embark on an immersive hunt for live-action woodland characters and giant hand-painted Easter eggs in the Enchanted Forest. What better way to celebrate Springtime with the kids than with a visit to a farm park? Monk Park Farm in Thirsk offers animal encounters, mini train rides and a whole host of other outdoor activities such as ziplines, jumping pillows and climbing frames.
From the 18th until the 21st of April, however, there’s more fun to be had in the form of a brilliant Easter trail – The Great Yorkshire Egg Hunt. Hop into Monk Park Farm’s Easter Woods to hunt for hidden eggs and stumble upon various photo opportunities. EGGVenture at Thornton Hall Farm

If you haven’t yet spent a day at Thornton Hall Farm, then you’ve missed an excellent experience! One of the very best things to do in Skipton, this award-winning attraction offers hands-on animal encounters, excellent indoor soft play, outdoor play areas, tractor rides and a diner serving tasty lunches and light bites. What really sets it apart, however, is the quality of its seasonal events.
This Easter, embark on a 40-minute tour of the Bazil Beanz Chocolate Factory to help get production back on track and receive a chocolate bar to take home. With live actors and special effects, EGGVenture promises to be an immersive and memorable experience. Ticket prices include farm entry plus access to the soft play and diner. Easter at Wensleydale Railway

Set off from Leeming Bar or Leyburn Station and join the exciting Bunny Trail—little ones can pick up a free trail booklet and hunt down hidden bunnies along the line. There’s a chocolatey reward waiting at the end for every successful bunny hunter!
On Wednesdays 9th and 16th of April, head to Leeming Bar Station between 10am and 3pm for a day of free Easter arts and crafts. Children can get crafty with egg painting, design their own decoupage postcards, and enjoy plenty of creative play.

Springtime Storytelling – Bradford City Centre

On Saturday 19th April, Bradford BID will host a fun-packed event at Bradford city centre’s new pedestrianised space. Bank Street will be transformed into a hub of family-friendly activities and entertainment with Shipley-based theatre artists Q20 bringing colourful characters from classic children’s stories to life. There’ll be plenty to see and do, including a Beatrix Potter show, a Jemima Puddleduck & Mr McGregor Egg and Spoon Race, Alice & Queen of Hearts Croquet and a Grand Prix Assault Course. Best of all, it’ll be completely free to attend!
Giant Easter Egg Hunt – Skipton

A stroll around the historic market town of Skipton is a fine choice for a weekend outing. With its 900-year-old castle, award-winning museum, bustling market and fantastic array of places to eat and drink, Skipton is one of the most popular tourist spots in the Yorkshire Dales area. Pick up a trail leaflet from Craven Court Shopping Centre or Skipton Town Hall and then look for the 6 giant eggs and the golden bunny hidden around the town. On each egg, you’ll find some letters, which, when put together, will form a special word. Complete the form and pop it into one of the official boxes for a chance to win an Easter hamper packed with goodies!
Bolton Abbey Easter Trail

The much-loved Easter trail at Bolton Abbey is making a delightful return for 2025! Set against the stunning backdrop of the Yorkshire Dales, this trail is a favourite among families and nature lovers. Entry is free with a parking ticket (book HERE), and you can pick up your complimentary trail sheet from the Riverside car park kiosk before setting off on your adventure.
As you wander through the beautiful Strid Wood, keep an eye out for the charming giant bunnies hiding along the way—each one holds a clue to complete the trail. The route stretches approximately a mile in each direction, making it a perfect outing for all ages. Plus, well-behaved dogs on leads are more than welcome to join in the fun!
Easter Egg Hunt at Fountains Abbey and Studley Royal

Easter Egg Hunt at RHS Harlow Carr

Brighouse Easter Egg Trail

Where: Brighouse town centre

April in Brighouse kicks off with an exciting Easter Egg Hunt across the town centre, offering family fun and children’s activities during the school holidays. From April 5th to 21st, 23 shops and businesses will display beautifully decorated porcelain eggs in their windows, each with a letter attached. Hunters must unscramble the letters to form four secret words, with the chance to win one of three Easter Goody Bags filled with treats from Brighouse shops. Trail Maps, featuring extra puzzles and quizzes, can be collected from the BID Office on Bradford Road, participating businesses, or downloaded at www.visitbrighouse.co.uk/easter.
Adding to the fun, Alice and the Easter Bunny will make surprise appearances around town on April 9th and 16th. On the same days at 1 pm, a Bubble Workshop at Brighouse Central Methodist Church will bring bubble wands, foam blowers, and magical tricks for all to enjoy.
The Dino Trail at Meadowhall

This Easter, Meadowhall is bringing the prehistoric world to life with the Dino Discovery Trail, a thrilling adventure for families to enjoy during the school holidays. From April 5th to 21st, visitors can embark on a dinosaur hunt, tracking down ten life-sized dinosaurs hidden throughout the centre.
Explorers will come face-to-face with iconic creatures like the towering Brachiosaurus, spiky Stegosaurus, fierce Velociraptors, the tough Triceratops, and the mighty Tyrannosaurus Rex. There will be plenty of chances to snap unforgettable selfies along the way.
After completing the trail, families can make the most of their day at Meadowhall with a variety of restaurants and leisure activities. From delicious meals at Pizza Express and The Real Greek to high-energy fun at Air Haus and Jump Inc, there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
