Ginsters has teamed up with Frank’s RedHot to launch a new Buffalo Chicken Pocket, as new research reveals that the UK has become a nation of “hot sauce obsessives.” From splashing it on Sunday roasts to sneaking bottles into cinemas and weddings, Brits are increasingly craving bolder, spicier flavours during their daily snack breaks.
The study, commissioned by Ginsters to celebrate the launch, found that Gen Z is leading the spice revolution, with a third (33%) claiming a meal feels “incomplete” without hot sauce. While traditional pairings like burgers and chips remain popular, younger adults are getting adventurous—around 1 in 10 have tried hot sauce on pancakes, porridge, and even cake.

The new Ginsters x Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Chicken Pocket was over a year in development, undergoing rigorous taste-testing to ensure the signature tangy Buffalo kick translates perfectly into a hand-held, flaky pastry. Made with 100% British chicken, the Pocket is designed to be eaten hot or cold, making it a convenient option for office lunches or on-the-go snacking.
Stephanie Allen, Marketing Manager at Ginsters, said:
“We know people want more from their snacks these days—bigger flavour, quality ingredients and something that fits easily into busy lives. We’ve put a huge amount of effort and care into getting it just right, and we’re really excited for people to try it.”
Elisha Reeson, EMEA Licensing Lead at Frank’s RedHot, added:
“Our Buffalo Sauce has earned its place as a fan favourite because it delivers the perfect blend of bold flavour and the right amount of heat. Through this partnership, we’re excited to bring our signature Buffalo flavour into the snacking occasion.”
The Ginsters x Frank’s RedHot Buffalo Chicken Pocket is available now in Co-op stores as part of the meal deal. It will roll out to Sainsbury’s from 11th May, followed by Asda and Tesco from 18th May.
