Café-bar group Lounges has partnered with cereal brand Kellogg’s to launch Little Loungers Breakfast Clubs across England and Wales, serving complimentary bowls of cereal to children throughout the summer holidays.
The initiative aims to support families during the school break when regular school-based breakfast clubs are closed. According to research conducted by Kellogg’s, nearly a fifth of UK parents (19%) face higher household food bills without term-time breakfast clubs, while 17% report concerns over their child skipping breakfast.
Running through to the start of the new school term in September, children visiting any of the 200-plus participating Lounges can receive a free bowl of Corn Flakes, Bran Flakes, or Rice Krispies, served with a choice of dairy or plant-based milk. The offer requires no vouchers or advance sign-ups.
Sarah Lake, Chief Marketing Officer at Lounges, commented: “School holidays can really stretch family budgets, so we wanted to do something genuinely helpful for our community. Partnering with Kellogg’s means we can offer a balanced breakfast in a warm, friendly space where families can relax, chat and enjoy time together.”
The initiative is delivered in partnership with Kellogg’s and distributed by Bidfood to ensure meals remain free to families across the summer.
